2:00 am, she lies in her bed, the soft,yellow blankets cucooned around her goosbump-covered skin. I comb my long, thick brown hair and see her asleep in the mirror, a memory, a nightmare.
She stirs a little; ruffeling the sheets and blowing a breeze around the still, floral room. reaching up, she rests her small hands on her head and peers into the shadowy room.
A car passes by the house, sending fragments of streetlight beams flying through the windows. You could hear a pin drop.
